Second Level Beginners' Class with Jody Miller: Learning Alto, for Soprano or Tenor Players
2/9/2021 - 2/18/2021

Event Description
Learning Alto, for Soprano or Tenor Players:  Part of the recorder's appeal is the availability of recorders in a myriad of sizes.  Recorder players often start with just one and then expand their scope to include the others.  For those who know how to play the "C" instruments (soprano and tenor, most frequently), it's easy to add recorders that utilize the "F" fingerings (alto and bass).  We'll take a repertoire-based approach to learning how to play F recorders.  All you need is an alto recorder and at least a modest set of skills on C recorders.  We'll play some soprano/tenor for reference.

This class will be taught by professional recorder teacher and performer Jody Miller.
