Event Description
Continue your alto recorder study with this Second Level course from the American Recorder Society.  This course is a straight continuation of the four-week beginners' course offered in January.  We will review and expand on foundational concepts of recorder technique and further develop technical skills.  Course includes information on how to access the upper octave, how to deal with troublesome notes, how to build foundational articulation patterns, and more. 

This course will be taught by professional recorder player and teacher Anne Timberlake.

Required: Alto recorder, basic music-reading facility, comfort with fingerings for most notes 
This course will use the following method book:
The Sweet Pipes Recorder Book: A method for adults and older beginners by Gerald Burakoff and William E. Hettrick. Alto, Book One. SP02318. (see purchase info below)
