This barless transcription invites flexible phrasing and attention to voice leading—core interpretive skills explored in my July 2025 ARS-NOVA article, “How to Play Barless Renaissance Music.” The duet serves as both a historical artifact and a hands-on study in Renaissance polyphonic fluency.
