Chanson 1 - MLE 84

S A T B

I was playing through some lute transcriptions of French chansons when I realized I could do this to some of my own vocal works. Chanson 1 is based on a choral work I wrote, freely transcribed for recorder quartet. I’ve been playing recorders since youth, and for nine years of music school, I played harpsichord and recorders in early music ensembles. I don’t have a favorite recorder, but I usually ended up playing Bass in the ensembles.
