The perfect example of a Renaissance Man, David Goldstein epitomized the concept of the “cultivated amateur,” an ideal so often forgotten in a world where it is much easier to let others create art while the rest of us become mere spectators. David pushed the envelope even further and entered the mystified world of composing without bothering to wait for permission.
-- Will Ayton

The plaintive nature of this accompanied pseudo-folk melody has a beautifully introspective flow that pleases the listeners as well as the players. The original melody is a song without words — not an authentic specimen but a carefully crafted imitation — in the style of traditional Israeli folk melodies, with a touch of klezmer folded into the palette.
