Treemonisha is an opera written by Scott Joplin in 1911; from Wikipedia: "the opera was never fully staged during his lifetime" and "was forgotten until 1970, when the score was rediscovered." It finally premiered in 1972; this song, titled "A Real Slow Drag," was the final piece in the opera.
