I would like to contribute a work I recently set for recorders as a gift to the ARS community.

The piece is from a suite for strings and B.C. by G.P. Telemann: TWV 55:f1 (2 violins, 1 viola and B.C.)  The 8th movement is titled chaconne and adds 2 treble recorders.  As it turns out the other parts fit fairly well at pitch on recorders (2 trebles, 2 tenors, bass and contrabass); only a smattering of low notes in the bottom line had to be transposed up an octave.

Because the key is unusual (F minor), the initial reading will be challenging, but I found that once a player woodsheds it a bit so they know what is coming it becomes quite manageable.

I quite enjoy the sound of the lower pitch (so much recorder music is up an octave) and I hope you do too!
