This short, joyous Psalm setting for five voices comes from one of the late Gradualia publications.  It starts with a declamatory call-and-response on Psallite and then proceeds with extensive word-painting on qui ascendit.  Notice how Byrd uses the ascending scales over and over, some of them traversing an 11th or 12th without a break.  There follows a rich Alleluia.   Playing time about one minute.
