Variations on the traditional tune. It should be playable by most recorder players and pianists. The piano part page turn between pages 4 and 5 may necessitate omitting the right hand for a measure (barely noticeable).

This is a fun new set of variations on an old familiar song, just in time for Independence Day. The clever variations have a lot of creativity, jazzy syncopations, and move through various easy keys, both in major as well as minor. The piano is often more than accompaniment, rather it’s an equal partner in the dialogue. This is an amusing piece for the players and listeners alike!
