This is an adaptation of a trumpet duet that I wrote for a 4 yr old boy in desperate need of some self-esteem. I figured having his own theme song might help. It turns out it plays at least as well on AT recorders despite some intentional minor second dissonance and a substantial lack of dynamics. While it is not too difficult to learn, it has lots of rhythmic figures and a wide range that will keep players on their toes.

There is a lot of musical fun packed into two short pages of this AT duet! Hints of jazz and blues, with occasional clashes. The composer suggests this is of moderate difficulty, to which I would mostly agree. It has some tricky interplay in spots that warrant a closer look, but as the personal theme song for a beleaguered young child this has everything -- hopes, dreams, and optimism.
