Promenade with Distractions begins as a sturdy little walk, with the tenor singing as it goes, the bass offering firm support until measure 7, when it gets carried away and the makes tenor wait while it shows off.Tranquility should move steadily. The tenor must be eloquent. The Estampie is modeled on a medieval dance-type made up of several punta, or phrases, each of which is repeated.
