Bare Necessities
By Pat Shaw
 Arranged By Roy Sansom
"Bare Necessities" is an English Country Dance tune written by Pat Shaw. It's a waltz for three couples in round formation.

The tune is in D minor and in AAB form. The A section uses a gently descending line repeated up a fourth then extended to a cadence in D minor. The B section opens up with a soaring melody which cadences, most beautifully, in D major.

Since I recorded it at 8 foot pitch it will be nice to play along with the recording missing the soprano part on the tenor recorder. Perhaps I will include recording of the piece at 4 foot pitch soon...
