This was an ending hymn on a work titled "Donald, Get the Guns!" in response to Parkland High School shooting. The work needs to be like a dirge.  You may find the harmonies a struggle but once you carefully listen to each other the strength and impact of the work should make you contemplative. Composed with Finale, I used a string quartet since the recorder voices are very poor and incomplete in Finale. With that said, the piece can lend itself to vibrato.

A beautiful soulful and slow piece that tapers in and tapers out with an emotional climax that will really draw you in. Poignant group gestures lock the ensemble in synch. It would also do well as a low consort BBGbCb, and leave the audience in tears.
