Tambourin

One of a series of fantasy adaptations of Jean-Philippe Rameau's Tambourin (Pièces de clavecin en concert No. 3), given the brisk tempo it demands, this trio is best suited to advanced players. Duration: 3:15

The composer has made minor modifications to the score since the accompanying recording was made. It features Janos Ungvary (S), the composer (T), and Scott Paterson (B).

More fun for lovers of French Baroque music! This free-wheeling adaptation of Rameau’s original will give great pleasure to those with good agility, quick tongues and light fingers, as some of the gestures are pretty quick. For others who aren’t quite there yet, it will serve as a good piece to use for development of finger-tongue coordination. This piece has a tight fabric that would be a terrific choice for ensembles looking to improve their unified sound. The Soprano gets some high B-flats and C’s, and there’s one low F# in the Bass.
