6/29/2025 -7/5/2025 | Mountain Collegium Early Music and Folk Music Workshop has been in existence for over 50 years. The faculty roster is impressive with some of the top active teachers and performers. The musical experience is boosted by the warm and friendly participants, many of whom come year after year. Accommodations are excellent, with comfortable and modern dorm rooms, as well a wide variety of good food in the cafeteria. Four classes meet each day, but the evenings offer a variety of large group playing sessions, participant-led ensembles, a faculty concert, and our annual John Trexler Folk Lecture. The workshop is held on the campus of Western Carolina University, which is nestled in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
