Tone is the heart and soul of the recorder, yet we seldom set aside time to focus on it.  In this four-week, small-group, live Zoom short course, we’ll demystify the ingredients of good tone, addressing specific issues as they arise within the group and supporting one another through a targeted, progressive exercise program designed to help you make concrete progress.

Upon purchase, you’ll receive a link to download a pdf “ticket” that includes live Zoom links to all four sessions.

The cost of the course is $89, which includes all four live sessions, weekly tone exercise programs, and email support as needed for the duration of the course.

Playing in an ensemble is all about sharing, giving and receiving. Sharing ideas, timing, articulation, tempo and pitch, as well as giving and receiving visual and auditory cues. This is what this workshop by the Consort Counsellors is all about!
María and Hester have been playing together for over 20 years. They will show you various techniques and exercises to help develop interaction and communication within the group and how to get to know your fellow ensemble players better and better each day. The result: more precision, more spontaneity, and even more fun in ensemble playing!
