Open Hearts: A celebration of music, diversity, love, and acceptance
The world premiere of Mark Miller's Love Will Rise Again for choir, recorder, harmonium and piano, will be featured during the Harmonium Choral Society's Open Hearts weekend.
Dr. Anne Matlack leads the chorus, with Kristine Lamb, flute and recorder, and HRH Prince Manvendra Singh Gohil, harmonium. Miller's new work was commissioned by Kristine Lamb in memory of her brother, Bud Oddsen and will be premiered on June 3 with a repeat performance on June 5th.
On June 4th, the NJ premiere of the award winning documentary Pieces of Us, about LGBTQ+ hate crime survivors will be screened, with a post film discussion facilitated by the executive producer, Mark Von DerHeide. The Q&A discussion will also include two of the film's subjects: Mykel Dicus (a producer) and Prince Manvendra, India's first openly gay royal and a world advocate for human rights.
