Audacity Recording Software-just the basics

We will learn to record ourselves for the purpose of study or to create ensemble performances by ourselves or with others.  We will talk about setting up a recording area, the basics of recording lines of ensemble music, combining the lines, and sharing the files.

Cost:  $25 per attendee
Format:  Zoom platform
Materials needed:  Laptop or desktop computer with the latest Audacity software installed (www.audacityteam.org); one or two pieces of ensemble music that are easy for you to play (duets or trios are great); headphones or earbuds; external microphone and speakers (recommended, but not required)
Computer/device setup:  Adjust Zoom settings in advance for optimum music quality; external speakers and quaality external microphone recommended (not required)

Note--you may participate on any device that runs Audacity, but the class will be offered from the standpoint of a computer; we may be unable to offer support for other platforms.
