MC Online will be taking place the weekend before in-person Mountain Collegium and has 32 different class offerings over 15 different session times. This online workshop is perfect for musicians who want to be ready for in-person activities and for those who aren't able or ready to travel and mingle with others. Social hours (free for all who register for at least one class) are on the schedule to let people just catch up with their friends (new and old) from around North America.
Participants can select anywhere from 1 to 15 classes (costs are per class: $15 per 45 minute shorties and $25 per 1 hour 15 minute full length classes, with 10% discount for 5-9 classes, 20% discount for 10-14 classes, and 25% discount for all 15). The world-class faculty will be offering a very diverse set of engaging sessions for recorders, viols, harps, sackbuts and other early instruments in genres of Renaissance, baroque, folk, Sephardic, and more: Kelly Brzozowski (Folk music & harp), Rosalind Buda (Folk music, small pipes, and pennywhistle), Lorraine Lee Hammond (Folk music and plucked strings), Phil Hollar (Recorder and Renaissance Winds), Shira Kammen (Medieval and Sephardic music), Lee Knight (Folk music), Larry Lipnik (Viol), Liza Malamut (Early Brass), Sarah Mead (Viol), Jody Miller (Director; Recorder and Renaissance Winds), Daphna Mor (Recorder), Elisabeth Reed (Feldenkrais), Gwyn Roberts (Recorder), Gail Ann Schroeder (Assistant Director; Viol), and Anne Timberlake (Recorder). The workshop is nominally in Eastern Time.
