Event Description
For our last session of the season on Saturday, May 17, we have scheduled a dress rehearsal followed by a casual recital for friends and family in our usual venue, St. Joseph’s Hall at Church of Saint Mary the Virgin. We sincerely hope that all members will be on hand to perform with us!

The format of the day will be as follows: Arrive to set up in time for my 1:30 p.m. downbeat. (Doors open at 1:00 p.m. as usual. We have much to do!) The chairs will be set up in three rows facing the opposite direction from usual. They will be facing another set of chairs at the opposite end of the room for our audience. We will be arranged in loosely organized SATB sections. You will be given a seat number based on the parts you will be performing. The first row will be numbered 1–8, second row 9–19, third row 19–30.

We will rehearse from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Doors will open for our invited guests at 2:50 p.m. for a 3:00 p.m. performance.

I will be introducing a new piece (TBA) to open the recital. Then we will proceed to the chorale and variation of Bach's Vom Himmel, Stonings' Browning, my dear, and closing with Lully's Air and Bourée. Apart from the new piece, this is all music that you should have from our past meetings this season. However, I will be sending everyone new PDFs as I usually do.

Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, 145 West 46th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues in Manhattan. We meet in Saint Joseph’s Hall, a side chapel of Saint Mary’s. Located in a brick building to the left – or west – of the main church, the entranceway is distinguished by the street number 145 prominently displayed on the door. A colorful sign will also identify the spot. Accessible via the 1/2/3/B/D/F/Q/R/N trains.
