Event Description
Long-time friend of BCRS, Pat Unruh, takes us on a tour of English early music when she returns to lead our March playing meeting.
In a program entitled "O Lux -- Light on English Polyphony", Pat will conduct us through inspiring works by luminaries such as Byrd, Purcell, and Ferrabosco.
Our monthly meetings are hybrid unless otherwise stated; you choose whether you wish to attend in person or over Zoom. Each session starts with easier scores and moves gradually to more challenging materials - we no longer have Prelude and Concerto groups.

Location: Vancouver, BC (venue details will be sent on registration) Music: registrants will receive an email with a link to download the music after their registration form (and payment if applicable) have been received. Please Bring: recorders, music, stand & light (if you use one), pencil, water bottle (refreshments will not be shared) Note to Metro Vancouver BCRS Members;: BCRS Librarian Elizabeth Paterson would be delighted to bring along library materials for you to borrow. Are you interested in a specific score, or perhaps a selection of music on a topic (i.e. trio sonatas, Italian dances... maybe music by a specific composer)? Contact Elizabeth to make arrangements. Borrowed materials can be returned at meetings as well.

Location: Online over ZOOM. You are welcome to sign in to the meeting at 6:45 for a visit with your recorder friends before the program begins at 7:00pm PT. Music & Zoom: Registrants will receive an email with a link to download the music followed, after registration closes, by a second email with the Zoom link.
