Voices of Music opens our 2024-24 season in October with Seicento: Italian music of the 17th century, a delightful program highlighting women composers and poets of the time, with music by Isabelle Leonarda, Francesca and Giulio Caccini, Allesandro Scarlatti, Barbara Strozzi, and others.
The program features soloists Sherezade Panthaki, soprano; Isabelle Seula Lee and Manami Mizumoto, baroque violins; William Skeen, baroque cello; Hanneke van Proosdij, recorder and harpsichord, David Tayler, archlute and baroque guitar.
