Workshop

The instrumentalists from the early music ensemble Calextone will present a short workshop of medieval and early renaissance music for recorder and other early instruments.  Workshop teachers will be Letitia Berlin, Shira Kammen, and Daphna Mor.   The theme of this two-hour workshop is Music for the New Year: Sephardic songs, works by Machaut, Dufay, and medieval dance music.  We hope you'll join us.

1:15pm                    Post workshop lunch at a nearby restaurant TBA, if you're interested
Snacks and beverages will be provided at registration.

Registration fee is $35 if paid by January 10 and $40 at the door.  If you plan to attend, please send an email message to me indicating which instruments you will bring, and include a phone number in case we need to contact you.  If you would like to reserve a lunch spot with the group, please let us know as well.  Checks can be mailed to Barbara LaRose, 1720 Mershon Dr. Ann Arbor, MI 48103.  If you wish to pay using Paypal, send the payment to my email address, jsmutek@umich.edu. To pay through Venmo, send the payment to me using the name @Judith-Smutek.

We'll meet in Piper Hall on the lower level of the church building complex.  When approaching the church, watch for the yellow blinking traffic light near the church driveway.  Plenty of parking is available near the south entrance with additional parking space on the east side of the building.  Enter the rear (south-facing) door of the building, and follow the signs to Piper Hall.
