FREE Online Recorder Class for Beginners with Andrew Levy (alto recorder)

Event Description
Learn to play the recorder! The American Recorder Society invites you to join a FREE, four-part online course for beginners. No musical experience is required to participate. Your teacher, Andrew Levy, will help you gain the basic skills needed to enjoy the recorder and make further progress from a solid foundation. After signing up, make sure you have a music stand and an alto recorder (see below). All other class materials will be provided to you.

Why the recorder? The recorder is inexpensive to purchase, comfortable to play on, and challenging to master. The recorder offers:
        A sweet and pleasant tone
        Centuries of history and repertoire
        Opportunities to make music with friends

If you need to purchase an alto recorder consider purchasing an instrument from one of our business partners. Yamaha, Aulos, and Zen-On all make very good plastic recorders.
