Second Level Beginners' Class with Tish Berlin: Continuing Technique (alto recorder)
10/10/2022 - 10/20/2022
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM EST

Event Description
Have you taken one of our ARS Online Classes for Beginners?  Are you ready for the next step? Join professional recorder teacher and player, Tish Berlin, for a Second Level class.  Building upon the foundational techniques introduced in the beginners’ course, this 4-part series will reinforce the basics and help you further develop your technique on alto recorder.  We will work on skills such as articulation, finger agility, and tone production and explore practice techniques to help you keep moving in the right direction.

This class is available at no charge to ARS members, only. When registering, use the email address associated with your ARS membership. If you are not an ARS member, you may click HERE to join.  Teachers are paid thanks to donations to the Recorder Artist Relief Fund.  These classes are limited in size to allow for interaction between the teacher and students. If you have already taken two or more of our Second Level classes, please wait until one week prior to the start of class to sign up, in order to allow a larger number of people to take advantage of these opportunities.

Requirements:
Alto recorder
Basic ability to read music, comfort with fingerings for most notes

This course will use the following method book: Sweet Pipes Recorder Book: A method for adults and older beginners, Book One for Alto Recorder  (see purchase info below).  It is recommended that you are comfortable with and can play through Unit 6.  Any supplementary material will be provided by the instructor.
