With a new bass part added, this is an expanded version of St Pierre’s trio arrangement found in his collection, “Various Variants of Purcell Airs” uploaded in 2018. As in the trio, some of the arpeggio figures might benefit from practicing slowly and working up to the “brisk” tempo indicated, to get the fingers and tongue working in synch. All parts get some action! The soprano has some high notes all the way up to C and D, and the tenor as high as B-flat, but the ranges are comfortable otherwise and the difficulty level is accessible to intermediate players.
