Event Description
Emerging recorder players who are just on the cusp of considering yourself low intermediate to intermediate in ability level may appreciate this ensemble-based class.  In addition to lots of tips for improving overall playing skills, the emphasis will be on rhythms commonly seen in Renaissance and Baroque music.

Details
Music is much more than rhythms and pitches, but solid skills in these areas are the foundation to becoming a better player. Using tunes from both the solo and the ensemble repertoire, we’ll seek to gain a better understanding of time signatures and rhythms that are common in Renaissance and Baroque music.
 
This four-week course is $70.All written materials will be provided as PDF files, some of which may need to be printed before class sessions.  (Minimum 8 participants per class.  If a class does not fill, a full refund will be issued.)
 
Required materials:
  1. Soprano, alto, or tenor recorder
  2. Music stand
  3. Good computer headphones or speakers
  4. A metronome
  5. Pencil and eraser
