The titles of these two French chansons express the spirit of this concert.

Montreal virtuosi - lutenist Sylvain Bergeron and recorder player Vincent Lauzer - present songs, dances and recercadas from 16th century France and Spain and late Renaissance/early Baroque England. Grace Srinivasan joins them for a set of songs by Henry Purcell.
