This session for soprano and tenor players takes newer or rusty recorder players into the higher register. We will expand our range to at least A above the staff, which enables players to tackle most Renaissance literature.
Tuesday, February 23; Thursday, February 25; Tuesday, March 2; Thursday, March 4, 7-8 PM EST
If you have moved beyond the beginning soprano recorder stage, these sessions will help you move into the second octave of the soprano recorder and begin playing some Renaissance consort music. Lots of technique and plenty of repertoire to start putting your skills to use. Perfect for players who have completed one of the beginning recorder sessions, those who are dusting off their soprano recorders, or those who already play alto and want a crash course in playing the soprano. We'll focus on learning to play in the upper register and playing melodies. Tenor players also welcomed! All music will be provided.
All sessions are via Zoom. Zoom links will be sent a few days before the sessions begin. Cost for 4-class series is $35.
