Sweet! Chocolate and French Baroque Music
Ever since cacao arrived from South America in Spain, chocolate became the fashion of the day. Spanish chocolatiers introduced the art of how to transform the bitter beans into chocolate to the royal court in Versailles. French baroque music with its delicious flavors became to the ear what chocolate is to our taste buds: a symphony of ecstatic sensations!
Ensemble Caprice with recorder players Matthias Maute and Sophie Larivière, baroque cellist Susie Napper, David Jacques (baroque guitar) and percussionist Patrick Graham deliver a sparkling and ...sweet program!
Music by Joseph N. Pancrace-Royer, M-A Charpentier, J-Ph Rameau, Fr.Couperin et M.Marais.
Tickets: 20$ CAN
