American Recorder Society - Event Information

Event Name:Triangle Recorder Society Spring Workshop
Event Type(s):Workshop
Description:

It’s about time!

March is national Play the Recorder month, and what better way to celebrate that by joining us for our annual workshop, March 23, 2019, at First Presbyterian Church in downtown Durham. We’ll be exploring various aspects of music that relate to TIME, including seasons, rhythm, tempo, and practice time management. Our special guest teacher this year is Deborah Booth, a popular recorder and baroque flute performer and teacher based in New York City. She is the music director of the newly revived New York Recorder Guild and teaches at numerous workshops each year. Deborah will join locals Stewart Carter, Holly Maurer, Patricia Petersen, Jennifer Streeter, Kathy Schenley, and Douglas Young for a fantastic time of music-making!
